Even she sells-out

Accidentally stumbling upon her total compensation statement on her employer’s secure website, she felt a sense of contentment. She thought about a possibility of a raise following the assessment period this cycle.

She smiled in contentment. Went to her bedroom and lied down on her back. Looked at the ceiling and thought about possibilities of “better future”.

A few hours later, she thought about the world poverty, the people that live under $2/day, the people that don’t have access to clean water.

Would she leave her comfy cushy job and the nice apartment to serve for a humane cause, that she always wanted to do?
